From Side Hustle to Heavy Equipment
I knew I always wanted to run my own business. Detailing was something that I was taught how to do, and decided to buy my own rig and do it part time. At the time, I was still in law enforcement, so detailing was a side business.
Eventually, I made the tough decision to leave law enforcement and with that came the need for additional income! Anytime Detailing turned into Anytime Detailing and Handyman.
I worked for about 2 years juggling both operations. As the handyman portion grew, which consisted of mostly residential construction projects - big and small, that's where I put most of my attention. It was on those construction projects that I realized what I enjoyed most about them, which led me to the idea of rebranding.
I wanted to zoom in on heavy equipment operations and land management around Memphis and surrounding areas. I want my business to be able to provide the proper equipment necessary to bring projects and visions for our customer's space, to life! That's exactly what we do here at Modern Shovel.
