What is the difference between forestry mulching and Diamond Z grinding?
A forestry mulcher works standing brush and small trees in place, which is right for underbrush and selective clearing. The Diamond Z is a horizontal grinder fed by an excavator, so it handles brush, limbs, stumps and storm piles sized to the hopper. We tell you which one fits when we walk the land.

What happens to the mulch?
Your call. We can spread it across the cleared ground for erosion control, leave it in a pile for you to use, or haul it off if you want the site bare.
Is there a minimum job size?
The Diamond Z is built for volume. For a few acres of underbrush, forestry mulching is usually the better price, and we will say so.
Do I need a burn permit?
No. Nothing gets burned, so there is no permit, no smoke complaint and no waiting on a calm, dry day.
How is a grinding job priced?
By the job, after we walk it. You get a written price before any work starts.
